New 2012 stock 2500 - what to be aware of??

Just traded my 04.5 5.9 with the 360,000 miles and bought 2012 2500 4wd Larimie Longhorn Mega. What issues should I be aware of? What parts should I have handy. With my old 5.9 I always carried a new water pump, belt, fuel lift pump, fluid, etc. What about the stock fuel filter, the dealer said the new ones are going to a smaller micron filter, should I look at changing the stock one? Basically what mods or changes can be done without voiding the warranty that will keep the truck running it's best?

Some do the crankcase ventilation mod. Other than that, I'm of the opinion not to mess with much, and maintain it by the book.

I can't think of any parts you need to carry around for the first 100k miles (accessory belt?). Reading through the posts on the 4th gen forums, when left stock these trucks are relatively bullet-proof if treated right.

X2 on the crankcase breather and install a cabin air filter.. cheap, easy to do and will keep the inside of the cab cleaner... link https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d-t284729.html

Can I get a link to a "how to" on the crankcase breather?

If you look at the air intake hose down by the turbo there is a line about 1 inch that feeds into it, I removed the small line from the intake and pluged the intake hole with a 1 inch plastic plug (so it wouldn't rust) that fits into the 3/4 ID. Feed the breather line where you want or you can get filters for them. I totally removed the existing hose and used 3/4 inch heater hose about 4-5 feet long and routed it straight across and down into the frame on the passenger side. My concern with using a filter is if it became plugged it would pressurize the crank case and that wouldn't be good. I'm not sure if Blake covered this in his delete thread, I took a quick look and couldn't find it but it really is that simple.
