Oh yea! I know how John likes to cruise the highways and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, those behind him can't see it.

John and I have burn up the highways more than a couple of times together.

 

Seems about right or a lil less it takes me 1 hr 45 to 2 hrs exactly to get to rky mount and mapquest was saying only 90 miles from there.

 

O.K., everybody, I just received a call from Jess Spruill (kingd). His Internet is down again.

He wanted me to post that this "OBX Diesel Event' WILL BE RUN FOR SURE!
He said that he and his Staff have met with the track owners/officials and they have agreed to do whatever it takes to get this event in this weekend.
If it does rain on Saturday, they intend to take the event into Sunday to finish or get it completed. The weather reports show that on Sunday all the rain is supposed to move out and we will have some good weather. This includes the drag racing, sled pulling and dyno event.

Anyone heading through Raleigh and wanting to caravan give me a shout. I'm planning on heading over on Saturday morning. Hopefully I'll have the big black truck back, but if not I'll be in the gasser. At least I'll have a Diesel in the back seat... hahahaa.

 

Banshee I think there is several coming from greensboro and lexington way that will be passing right threw there.

 

HAHA, I was nearly deaf from the stacks. They are pretty loud with the 24V turning 3000 rpm's.
