Well, I've got the calendar marked to keep it clear. I've got a breaker panel or two for target practice.
Boatnik, if you need a hand with set up or anything, give me a shout... The wife has all kinds of junk scheduled on the calendar between now and then, but I don't think all of it applies to me. I'm sure I can lend a hand at some point.

I think I will have to put off the shooting for a while. Its crazy at work. On my day off I forgot my carry pistol on a couch at home and left. I realized I don;t know where it is 15 miles out. I had cold sweat on my back, turned around and rushed home. The kids did not have any friends over and didn't find the "toy", so all was safe. But I felt terrible and locked the .45 in the safe. If I get shot by an intruder so be it or I will fight them off with bare hands, but I feel terrible forgetting a gun unattended.
Shame on me

Reality in firearms is a hard teacher. Lucky you were. I bet you won't do that again for a very long time. My kid has long since left the nest. Now I have to keep tabs on myself for my grandchildren.

The truck is as right as it is going to get. Time to cut up some dead trees for the bonfire. Don't forget the hotdogs and beer. I will be getting the stuff for the back stop this week and I should be testing it this week end. Looking forward to a great time. It will give us some more to talk about at Clairemont.

Well, the back stop on the range is ready, the wood is piled up for the bonfire, and the ATV/dirt bike track is ready so come on down. Don't forget to save up those pesky appliances you no longer need or want to see what happens when fired upon. If someone has a good extension cord, I'll load the generator and we can shoot some of these things whil'st their powered up just to see what happens.
Bring your campers, tents, or what have you. If you don't want to sleep on the ground, I'll bring the 5'er out and yous' can pitch your tents on a special pressure treated wood deck (the GN). We're like way out in the middle of nowheresvilles so lets have some fun. Plenty of trees, er ah, bathrooms available as long as you don't mind the woods. Water supply available if need be.
Come on down, or up or over, and see the country.
Lest ye miss a good time.

Aw Shucks. I even graded the road after Dieseldude4x4 went home. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
April 28 at my place in the boonies.
I just got a 40 round mag. for my .45 just for the occasion.

Come on now, don't tell me you's guys don't have the overwhelming desire to shoot some appliances full of holes? Anything is fair game on this range and you don't even have to haul it off afterwards, we'll take care of that. What don't get thrown on the bonfire and melted down gets hauled to the scrap man. Come on out and lets tear up some appliances.
No glass though please.
