Talking MNTDR/DTR Wings, Beer and Trucks!

Does it get any better?

Well, for those of us who couldn't make it up to Northwood for the gathering up there, We can have Beer, wings, and trucks here in the Cities.

Another 19th of the month. March 19th at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Champlin MN. (where we were last year) 10am is when I'll arrive, and we can hang out till everyone decides to go home. This year Duluth Diesel and I actually spoke with a manager, and they will be ready for us.

This will be mostly a BS'ing session, and a bit of a brainstorming session. I would like you guys, our members, to come up with some ideas for this summer. Do you like the Drag Racing? Let me know, like a particular track? Let me know. Want more wrench days? Let me know. I am toying around with the idea of putting together a sled pull, would you guys be interested? This is YOUR club, I just do what I think you will enjoy. So, Come one, Come all! Bring your Ford and Chevy Buddies, I think you will all agree, We are a Diesel group, not just Dodges!

I'll try make it down for this being it is on Saturday. Is this an afternoon event being it starts in the late morning hours? Probably be truckless if the family comes down. They can run off for a few hours and do other things.

Hopefully, I'll have a schedule from Red River Pullers to look over for events to hit.

I know a couple guys at our St. Cloud plant to invite.

I'll get it out on the newsletter tonight.

I would very much like to make this event, but I picked up a part-time job and I am scheduled to work that weekend.

If for some reason that changes, I will be there.

Don't worry John, I think the next get together will require a poll to see what weekend works the best for everyone! That way we can get the MOST number of people.

Since Torque Diesel Performance has moved, I had one idea that I was going to throw out to you guys. We all like to Dyno. How about a day in July, I can talk to Aron have him bring the Mustang Dyno up and we can have a truck show of sorts. We can invade a Dodge dealer on a saturday. They could use it as a promotional tool. How many of our trucks still look and run great after 100,000 or 200,000, or even 500,000 miles. I have one in mind, since I know the owner and the "higher ups." They are located right off of a major highway and the smoke would be seen for quite a distance! I would of course have to talk to them about this, but I would think they would be interested. We would just need to get an decient sized group out there.

What do you guys think?

Josh

Yup! My truck is turning into a big project for me. I'm hoping to: Fix my headgasket issues, traction bars, On-board air, Possibly air suspension, Repair the drivers side body, depending on a few things, possibly install a flat bed, and get to around 600-650hp. Not nessissarily in that order.....but those are my goals for the beast. Now that I have a daily driver car I can work on the truck and not worry about getting it done in time to drive to work the next day.

Josh that's a great idea!!! I bet the dealer would be all over it. Just like you say it could be like a show n shine. I know I'd get dad's truck out there and mine should be looking pretty sharp by then. Maybe we could get the dealer to give a couple of prizes away, like a shirt or hat for something like cleanest truck, and big dyno numbers??? That'd be a lot of fun
