July Gathering for the IL-Mo area

We are putting on this event the weekend of July 16-17 at Forest City Diesel in St. James, MO. There is room for campers and tents. There is only one hookup for the campers, but anyone with good water tanks there is a blue water dump available.

Let us know what your thoughts are. The dates are set, so come on and have some fun with good people and friends. You can arrive as early as Friday evening the 15th and stay until Monday the 18th if you want. Lets make this a big one!

David

I only live 1 hour from the place, I'll try to make it out there.
What's the plan when we get out there?

How about a map for the folks who don't know the area?

I'd like to try and get a head count if possible ... there is plenty of room out here for RV's however I'll only be able to provide electric to one (30A) ... I also have a generator and can probably get another one so there'e two more with electric. You will be dry camping so fill your water tank/s. If want elect, plan on bringing a generator. As long as there isn't an RV in the spot ... you can dump sewage on your way out. I also have lots of room for tent camping as well. I will have a porta pottie on site for the weekend.

If you are planning on bringing your animal along ... you must be able to keep it restrained, m dogs don't really care for other dogs - they are friendly as heck .. but there is just something with other dogs that drive them nuts.

I will also post an additional route if you are coming from the east on I-44 ... there is 9 miles of construction going on from just west of Cuba to just west of Leasburg. It can be a nightmare depending on when you run through there ....

John .... we should be able to get thet VP44 done .....

Would anyone be interested in a poker run on Saturday? If so, I'll try and set one up ...

More to follow as we get closer ....

Greetings and salutations to all ....

I am trying to put together a poker run for Saturday the 16th .... I need to have a 10 trucks to make this happen. I have 6 so far ...

The run is a Benefit Run for the Tri-Counties Humane Society. There is a $20 entry fee. This will be a 7 stop run for the best five of seven cards. Best hand wins. In the event of a tie, there will be a five card draw playoff hand. Winner receives 1/2 of the entry fee. So. 10 trucks = $200 -- winning hand gets $100 ... Humane Society gets $100. The more trucks the higher the purse. The run will start at 10am and the cards need to be back by 2pm.

If you are interested ... please let me know very soon ... I need to get this going.

[John .... we should be able to get thet VP44 done .....

Well, I have a new VP installed!!

The original was very sick the last week, I could not maintain 55 mph because of the dead pedal issue. Lift right foot and it would go again for a quarter mile and repeat.

I bought from Blue Chip, quick service. Installed it last night , about 3 1/2 hrs.
Today is the real test. I will post more this weekend.

I plan to make the get-together. See you guys there.
