GAM/PDT Lie Detector Event on 4-16 Comments Please
Hey to all who attended the Lie Detector event at GAM on the 16th, Bruce and I want to hear from you. If you ran your truck or if you attended to watch, we want your opinions, comments and suggestions to make this the premier dyno facility around.
Did you like things the way we did them?
Can we do something better or add something to the mix?
We are searching for your help to get this to be the Bomb!
We welcome your input and will consider everything you send in.
Thanks for attending and let us know what you liked or how to improve!

Bob:
Now I didnt do much spectating out with everyone else there and I know I had a first class seat being able to look through the window from my spot in the garage and see every run. But it sure looked like it could not have been set up much better. You and well Bruce had an excellent viewing area, the chairs were great and I saw that they were used quite a bit. The projection screen was nice and large and could be read easily even from the far side of the garage where I was at. It appeared that all were having a great time. The only downside was getting that pickup set on each truck. Really only seemed to be a problem on the ford trucks for whatever reason and very few of the dodges. And getting the trucks taped and painted but not much you can do about those two items and I forget the guys name who was doing that but he was on it and did a great job. As was the guy who was setting the pickup, cant remember his name either. Can you tell I am terrible with names or maybe it was all the smoke killed a few brain cells. From when we started to when I left you and the crew were averaging about 4 trucks an hour I thought that was pretty good. By the way I did hear a few comments about how that thing worked those trucks good and hard. Again I spent most of my time in the garage with you but I did not hear one complaint. Out in the driveway everyone definitely seemed to be having a blast. I can honestly say of the dyno events that I have been to that is the best one I have seen. I think the dyno was great, the viewing was great and I think one thing that helped a lot was the amount of help you had. There must have been lets see you , me and whoever took over when I left strapping the fronts down, the pickup attacher guy, the painter/taper, and 3-4 guys in the rear strapping and setting the exhaust made for pretty quick work of getting them set up and out of there when done. Next time you do one of those there count me in as help it was fun. I will also bring some knee pads as my knees were shot by 1pm and a camera to take pictures of some of those guys sitting in the passenger seats while you were running. Some of their faces were like when you had them loaded up and turning 3000rpms. Great job just not sure what else you could do to make it better.

Hey Bob--
This was a great event. The screen was great, the dyno was awesome, and it was generally just a lot of fun.
The dyno methodology was perfect, imho, from the short line (and having people put #s on the windows), to the magnificent Superflow dyno.
The only thing I can think of that would improve such an event involves expanding it beyond the scope of a "dyno day", like having seminars or presentations (like why you love DTT, hehe). So, in it's present incarnation, I couldn't really see how it could be much better. Maybe some seats and more food?
This event was not only a testament to the professionalism of you guys at PDT/GAM, but also a real good example of the type of quality people who are associated with our diesel passion. I mean, we had guys spending almost 12 hours getting sooted crawling underneath trucks, getting achy knees and backs-- all on a volunteer basis. Awesome!
Barry, wish I would have met you.
Bob, Bruce, Shay, and the countless unnamed others did a magnificent job.
