Chapter 7 Appliance shoot on Jaunaury 23'rd
Looks like we've narrowed the date down to the 23'rd of January for the time being and of course this is all weather permitting. I'll let Chris post directions for all those concerned. Chris has rounded up several burning barrells so all we need is some wood to get some heat started. I can provide some wood if someone else has some they can drag along and some Kero to get it started.
Looks like there are several restaurants just down the road from Chris' place we can go to after we shoot stuff full of holes for some grub. Joshua and I will have some several different targets and appliances. If there is enough interest in seeing how things react when powered up, I will bring my generator as long as it doesn't become a target. All we need is a long extension cord someone is willing to sacrafice in case someone misses.
If you are interested in attending, please post name and any targets you may want to bring along. I'll have plenty of calibers there and the only one I will charge for is the big S&W 500 if you want to drop the hammer on it. That's only because it is near $2.50 a shot.
Safety will be the first concern and NO alcohol on the site. Alcohol and firearms are never a good mix even though we are all civilized people. Anyone going down range will announce "COLD RANGE" and all arms will be down. The last one was a blast literally and it was fun and no one got hurt. (other than some slightly burnt sinuses from the exploding Texas Pete jars)
We'll keep an eye on the weather as the time gets closer and see if we need to move a few days back in case it is too cold. Come on down and lets have a good time.

I will be there. Got a CD player and a computer monitor at the least. I can bring some wood, too. I will bring an assortment of firearms and a bucket 'o ammo. I'm trying to talk my brother into tagging along and brining his Mini-Thirty and his cap & ball revolver (smoke is fun ).

Me too.
I can bring a 5 gallon jug of Kerosene.
I'll keep an eye out for potential targets, and I'll try to check with the welding shop for some 'scrap' steel plate for Chris.

Unless something comes up between now and then, we'll be there.
I have two or three old monitors and a couple of old TV's. Maybe even a couple of old computers.
See Y'all then.

Am I still invited? As most of you don't know yet ...I had to trade in the 03 CTD. I'm heart broken but the 55 mile one way was killing me in diesel costs. I did end up with another diesel though! A 2005 VW TDI. Not a bad lil' car. 50 mpg I'm going to be buying a 1st or 2nd gen CTD as soon as the finances allow. Who would have thought that me getting a promotion to Engineer at work would cause me to "downgrade" my vehicle Anyone need to buy a Bullydog Downloader? I still have mine from the 555.
