On vac from work on June 21, so very end of June/begining on July cool for me.

 

Last week of June / first week of July, I will be somewhere between home and the state of Wisconsin on vacation. We will be driving up there for vacation, making several stops in different states on the way. Otherwise, anytime is good for me. Jmac and Viesel : Since you guys have talked to these stores, would you mind finishing ( for lack of a better word after being up 26 hours) the deal(s)?

My Southeastern Cummins Operations Manager is good to go he is waiting on a head count and a date. Not a lot of people seem to be interested or are not aware of what we are trying to do. My guy will probably even put an add in the local paper if I ask him. I wish people would go ahead and vote, but I guess a lot of them probably are not aware.

PS Haven't heard anything from the tampa guy at all.

So that is for Ocala? If its at the very end of june begining of July I'll 90% be there. I've learned not to say "gauranteed" I'm in Zephyrhills so its a drive in either direction fer me.

 

I have about 4 other guys that are not members, but are interested in going.

 

I spoke with the operations manager and he will have T-shirts made up with everything on them except our logo. Apparently he wasn't comfortable with our logo, he wanted to advertise his company. I politely told him to put something to the effect of "First Annual Dodge Truck Rally, Ocala, Florida 2005" all bets are off for what we will actually get on the shirts. Don't know if he's giving them away or selling them. I am also in the process of starting Florida's chapter for the DTR. If there are no objections I will sign the papers as president. If someone else is retired and has more time to devote (as pres) let me know, I'm not on a power trip or anything of the like, I'm just trying to get this planned so we all have a good time and get to know each other (meet and greet). My goal was to get registered and have DTR send me some logos so I could have them printed on the t-shirts, but that (explained above) fell through.

He is also planning to grill out and have 1or2 tech on hand for Q & A. At this point I have no idea if there will be any dynos at all. He mentioned having a raffle or drawing for people to win appointments to have the dyno performed. Last I checked with this particular Cummins garage, dynos were free but by appointment only, so I don't know what he's getting at.

We should settle on a date, and let him know.

I'm also going to compile a list of members that have responded in either thread to get a better idea of which date to use. I know that 2500CTD started all this on the other thread and can only make the 18th so that carries some weight in my eyes. It seems only a hand full voted on the poll anyway. I'm also going to put an ad in the local newspaper, which is one reason I'm going to figure out/finalize the date of the event.

That sounds like a plan. After you get the ad, would you email me a copy of it so I can pass it out to the guys at work, and my neighbor? I am assuming that is JUNE 18, right?

To better get an idea of attendance from this board, if you 'are going to' be there, send a PM to Jmac. If you might be there, send me a PM. In either case, please notify one of us as to the number of people, including yourself, that will be there. Please send the PM's by 5-30-05 so we have time to get it set up.

COOL! Ok so as of now, I'm leaving OR on June 21 (be in fl about the 27th. about 5 days driving)and leaving FL about the 2 or 3rd of July, So anytime between those I am cool. I'll be in FL permantely hopefully before the end of the year. Jmac I voted for u to be president!! I definately wont have the time. Hopefully this all works out!
