Any of you Tx guys interested in an all truck sled pull?
My girlfriends dad owns a sled pulling company and pulls lots of antique tractors, hot rod tractors, outlaw, and trucks all over Texas. Seems the problem is antiques are slow and old , hot rod guys usually want to pull their antiques any time they bring the rods , and the outlaw guys want to get paid to pull .
So this is where we come in. He has a pretty loyal following of diesel trucks that go to all of his pulls. These guys say they love the sled because it is as gentle as they come. This being because of the design of the sled and the pan. Any how, didnt mean to get off on a tangent... what I was really wondering is if any Tx guys would like to have a get together, maybe a chapter meeting or something with a whole day or two of sled pullin and BS'n in north central Tx??? The price to hook would be as cheap as it gets beings we could have it in the same town the sled is located (Stephenville) and wouldn't have to front a wad of diesel dough .
Let me know what you guys think, Ive also got a buddy on TDR asking those guys the same thing.

If we can get enough people to come we will be able to have the sled all to ourselves. If not he said he would make sure we had either the first or the last part of the day (whichever is better for everybody) durring one of his other pulls, to ourselves and we could do whatever else the rest of the day .
He's actually having a pull comming up pretty quick that anyone is welcome to come and pull at but I thought it would be cool to just have a bunch of us diesel guys get together some weekend and pull.
Also he said he usually gets 15$/pull with a gauranteed 100 pulls. That is, if I could round up enough guys to get a total of 100 pulls we would only have to pay 15 bucks. If we can get more I'm sure I could get him to go down some. It also helps that he's a die hard cummins man. His current truck is a Chevy 3500 with a 1st gen Cummins in it that he has had in 3 other trucks. It seems 1 Cummins will outlast 2 Fords and 1 chevy .
Keep the input comming guys, it sounds like this could be a pretty cool deal if we can get enough guys together. Maybe we could have a DTR TDR shootout or something . Maybe even a side pot for some cash prizes .

James you might also be interested in this event too! May 20th at Sedalia, just north of the metroplex. You need to come on up and join the fun. I enjoyed talking to you at Emory. This might be good for your business too and give you some more local contacts. Hope to see you again soon.

Not real sure about a date as of yet but I am open to suggestions . If anyone has any ideas I can see what we could get goin.
My girlfriends dad is having an antique tractor /truck pull on the 21st and 22nd of April and all of you guys are welcome to come and pull. Theres not any real prizes (trophies I think) but it will be a pretty good time and there is always enough people, trucks, and tractors to keep the pull going for 2 full days. Its actually a pull/ show but there are always plenty of trucks for a pretty good pull. Its at the Stephenville City Park if anyone is interested. If you need directions or anything like that send me a PM.
