I`m gonna try and get to the Blackout this w/e .So far work has not called. But more times then not something has to come up to ruin my fun.About two weeks ago I was in B.C (up in the hills around Lumby)and while I was desending from 5000ft the front end was making crunching sounds.Well it ended up being a drivers axle u-joint.So my Bro and I figure shouldn`t be to bad to change(I`ve done them both on my YJ pretty easy).Well ,talk about fun(NOT).4-5 hrs and hadn`t the axle out,I was getting a little .It did turn out a little better, just next time I`ll read my xtended warrenty 1st that way I can sit back and let the techs play with it.As it was they changed both axle u-joints and upper and lower ball joints of both side all on warrenty. They also said that the park/reverse recall had to be flashed into my truck.I told them I didn`t want it I`ll use my park brake ,they replied that it was not DC but the Government that was making them do it.Anyhow I called at the end of the work day to see if truck was done, yup all but the recall cause the computers had been down (Ah Darn I`d had to leave town tomorrow so I needed my truck)Till the next service job.All this and only 90,000k .Thank goodness for xtended warrenties($$$$).

Heck I'm going to the black out. See you boys there if your going. I want to see if my truck still works. So the drag event is Sat and the dyno is sun. I heard that it costs $25 bucks for the event. Pretty cheap for drag racing or trying to kill the dyno event.

John, Castrol raceway is out by Nisku. If you take a peek at this page, there is a map:
http://www.castrolraceway.com/overview.asp
When you are on highway 2 south there is signs that will take you right to Castrol Raceway.
FYI, if you are planning on going to the dyno on Sunday, its at the NADP shop

I had fun. I will go again next year. There were a few guys into the 600+ hp range. Can't remember names. I put my 98 on the rollers and belted off a blistering 324.8. This was with an unlocked TC. On the good side of things, I farted out so much smoke they shut things down for about 15 minutes to let the smoke clear from the shop! I left after my dyno run so Dr Evil or Kids Toy might give you a better update. There were a few big powered duramaxes there with LOTS of nitrous. Unless I was in a another world I don't think Mike H was there @ all. Barry's NADP truck ran a best of around 13.0 seconds.

Thanks Swampy... I was hoping to make it out to hook up with you guys, but just got turned around on my plans for the weekend. Darn, I was hoping Mike might take a run at that 13 second run, He might be close with a good hook..
AHHH.. Nothing like a good ol smoke out from the 12V!!!
