4 dead in Exton KDP slaughter-fest!
I went to the TDR meet in Exton this morning. Great turn-out! 20 trucks (though 2 were F*rds) showed, 2 with twins, a bunch with stacks, even a couple with duals out the back. There was a 600 there, too. After breakfast and much mutual truck admiration, we went to the Marchwood Shopping Center behind the diner to work on trucks. I don't know what anybody else did, but I was busy killing KDP's. Working under the hood of JB's twin equipped 24 valve was awesome. He's got the turbos and valve cover polished so bright I needed sunglasses. Then I did Tom's 12 valve - it was his shop we were using, a nice 40 x 40 steel bulding with heat, an air compressor, and a well stocked fridge. Then I did his buddy Kevin's truck - it has stacks with a unique feature - Kevin has a cable operated valve that switches him from stacks to stock exhaust for "stealth" mode! Last up was Andy, with a clean and well polished 12 valve. It was a fun day, I met a lot of great guys and saw a lot of awesome trucks.

I would like to personally thank you for all the hard work and dedication doing those KDP's.I was absolutely amazed at the efficency of your system and how you made it look easy. You are more then welcome at any show we have and hope to see you again soon.Hope your lunch made up for the hard work.I made a call last nite to the guy who did the last KDP explosion repair for me and told him what we found. His exact comment was this.."Now you should know enough now to NEVER believe Cummins has engineered the proper fix in and that includes the newer style cover.".It didn't suprise him at all to hear it was out some already.glad we dodged a bullet there.
JB's 99 has got to be one of the nicest,if not the nicest, looking trucks that year around.Plenty of "bling-bling" under the hood with more on the way,Man what a ride.
I did today, after being embarrassed by the dirt you found under my hood while doing the fix,go and freeze my rear end off and steam her all down under the hood.man I couldn't let anyone see it that grimy again, .I do appreciate the comment on it being shiny.
I'll keep you posted on our next meet, which will be at Kauffman's,late in April.I will get the date set this week and post it for all,so till then......THANKS A BUNCH!!!!!..........Andy
