I got little box today for the truck.

Edge Juice W/ Attitude... I know it is not the huge HP stuff but it is a start.

I opened it up and the wires. Have you guys installed these before? I know for sure the EGT tap will be an issue for me. Meaning I don't want to screw it up. I know there is a lot going on with trannies and stuff. Let me know if there is a time available.

Thanks...Peace!!

I've got a BD brake and love the hell out of it. I haven't towed a trailer with it out east but look forward to it when I get back home. Hauled enough in the bed a few times to make her really squat and liked the performance. I use the brake all the time empty too. Guys at the Cave® helped me put in on. Only took a few hours.

I bought it used on either DTR or TDR (can't remember). I paid $500 shipped and I have a 5 speed. Stick mounted switch too. I remember reading that the BD supposedly has more lower RPM braking power. If you are going to put in on a 12 valve, remember that you need to update your exhaust springs too.
Hope that helps,
Jason

THE EDGE JUICE IS AN EASY INSTALL!!
If you have at least SOME skill at automotive stuff and can read directions, you wont have a problem. The drill and tap was intimidating for me too, I got half way through and a friend of mine squirted me with a garden hose (let that be a lesson to not do this at a firehouse), so I had a mechanic buddy finish is off.
Don't be afraid of anything else. The install is very straight forward and you will amaze yourself hoe simple it was. You can save the EGT probe till later, it doenst have to be put in at that exact time. I left mine attached and just zip tie out of the way till i got the tap and die set.

I have a Pac Brake, difference is, when I engage it the truck is already slowing down before I push the brake pedal. There was someone on here that had 170K on their factory front brake pads by using an exhaust brake.

Plus,..... they're cool.

24V comes stock with the 60# springs. 12valves IIRC, have 30#? So I didn't have to change springs. As for the gear vendors, from what little I remember, I believe you have a one way type clutch in there, the e-brake would essentially put power the other way and destroy that ratchet type system. Don't quote me on that though.

If I can make it back down to the Cave one of these weekends you are more than welcome to try the truck out.

Anything going on at the cave on Sunday(3/16)?? The 8.8 is in the jeep and now it is time to pay some attention to the Dodge. If so I have a Edge and a 2" leveling kit that would love to go in. I want to give myself a early Bday present...
