Well we finally got Jason's trans in. There were a few problems.
The torque converter bolts gave us a fit, then when we thought we were done and they took it for a drive it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear!
So we topped off the trans and one more test drive. won't shift out of 1st.
So inspect all the connections, fluid everything looked good. test drive won't shift out of 1st gear.
Make some calls, scratch head, a few of these. Ok so the trans is computer controlled something isn't working.
Dropped the pan and
Is that supposed to be hooked up?
There was nothing holding it in so it just came out. One of the solenoids. We ended up pulling the pan on the old trans and swapping the bracket from the old one to the new one and it worked.
I'm gonna get a Goerend trans, Jason's trans I'm sure is great but quality workmanship is what i want not quantity.

I can honestly say that yesterday was a long day but I am glad that we figured it out and that it was an easy fix. Now Jason remember that transmission is susposed to go through 50 - 100 shifts before you play with it, ie no drag racing, boosted launches, etc.

were you there to lend a hand??? NO you weren't!
there are always unforeseen issues like not getting the fly wheel bolts to go in and nothing holding a solenoid in place (this took almost 4-5 hours to figure out)
if it would have went smoothly it would have only taken 2-3 hours!

*Note to self, before any work under truck, make sure to clean it throughly.
