I live in the Rockies of SW Colorado, near Durango.

I just rescued a 2001, 24v, 4x4, 5spd, dually, no rust, 350,000 miles from
going to the junk man.

Her name is Kristine, as she has already tried to run me over after loading her
on a trailer for home.

She has new suspension, rebuilt trans and transfer case, clutch, pto,
HD Radiator, lift pump and vp44.

She has for now 4" exhaust, K&N and Edge box.

She needs a new rear axle pinion brearing, just tore down, thought I would need complete ring & pinion but everything looks good. She also needs a 10-12 foot flatbed with dump, working on that one.

Hey James, welcome to DTR. Sounds like you must have caught a deal there to put that much work into the old girl, congrats!

 

Actually, all the work was done by the previous dudd, when the rear end
launched on him. He just bought a bigger Stearling to replace this truck.

Im just starting to get my hands wet. I have owned an older Chevy with
a 6.2 back in the late 80s. This truck schould be a blast.
