Gaspot junkie looking for a new rush
Hi, I've been looking around here for a few weeks & think there is allot of info available here to use. Never hot rodded a diesel before but driven them for 25+ years. Build my own motor for my 69 Barracuda 1/4 miler and starting to think I would like to crank up my 93 W250 to pull some heavier loads.
Looking forward to learning from the obvious diesel gearheads on here.

welcome to the site, tons of reading to do here, tons that will save you more money than you can imagine. Ofcourse this money is saved by spending it wisely, many, I mean MANY folks start off and buy parts, only to realize they did not research or think through how far they would ever go. this leads to buying parts over, and re doing work. certain things should be done together, working on the head installing nozzles ? why not add head studs while you have it all opened up....... simple stuff like that can save you in the long run. uprgrading a turbo? try to hold off on doing the exhaust manifold, it wont work if you do go to twins someday. While you are at it, will that turbo you are upgrading to work in a twin setup......... think it through and do it once. Seeing you have a 5 speed, add the clutch before you up the power, this way you don't end up blowin the clutch and end up needing a tow to add to the cost, and un planned down time.
