Wonky idle HELP!
Hopefully someone out there can give me some advice. My 2001 HO has started idling strangely. Normal idle was just a hair over 800rpm but now seems to be anywhere between 800 and a little over 1000. I hooked up the Smarty to read codes but all I got was the normal 1693 code. I toggled the ignition 3 times and then got the 0122 code on the odometer read out. (apps voltage low). I should also mention when the truck is idling high a quick jab at the throttle usually brings the idle down. I did a search through the tech tips (what a great forum this is) and found the apps reset procedure do you think this will rectify the problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are living in the frozen north and are experiencing the "Cold Weather Idle Program".
Starts out normal, then after 30 seconds or so, slowly ramps up to just over 1,000rpm.
Putting on the brake, or hitting the go pedal makes it drop down to the normal 750-800rpm.
Benefit of the Smarty, it enables this in the ECM, without the hassle of going to a Dodge Dealership and fighting with them to enable it. (although, I'm guessing the Canadian Dealers know how to activate it, unlike the Dealerships in the lower 48).

After you try the "easy" APPS reset, here's the other one I mentioned.
