Exclamation Will I pass a WA State Emission Test with no Kitty Cat?

I have reached a milestone with my CTD...the 5yr 100k warranty expired today, my tabs expire today and I HAVE TO GET AN EMISSIONS TEST!!

My signature is up to date, no mods other than the 4" exhaust with no kitty (muffler is in place however) and K&N intake.

As I understand they will connect the Assembly Line Data Link connector for the test. Am I ok with no catalytic converter? I see guys here in Spokane with 6" Bull Haulers belching smoke...what on earth do they do?

I placed this in the HELP forum because I have to go down in the am for my test.

Thanks! I have not posted in over a year, it's good to be back!

By the way, now that my DC warranty is up, is it time to "play around" I have 80k on my CTD.

Unless you have a California emissions truck, you didn't have a catalytic converter. The '02s had a resonator and a muffler.

Register your truck in stevens or spokane county, no emissions if you do so.

umm This will help you, Leave about 15 minutes early before your e test appt, stop by the liquor store and pick up a 12 pack of budweiser, set it on your passenger seat and when you get to your e test place, place it in your drivers seat so its obvious its for the tech, and hand the guy your keys. Bribery Works like a charm!

Looks like I have no worries! Yeah! I have not touched the CTD as far as programming etc. so I should be o.k. I still wonder how the guys who send a black cloud a mile high pass.

Thanks everyone!

Went in today and did the snap test. Passed like a charm. I DID NOT however floor the pedal like the tech. asked me to 6 times, I moderately pushed it down about 3/4 full throttle. No way I am going to just floor my CTD repeatedly for some stupid test...what are they thinking?

Thanks for the advice.
