the proper way to bleed a vp truck is to crack a plug on the filter and bump the engine over with the key jusy enough for the lift pump to come on may have to do this a few times but it will fire right up then try to crack all 6 lines one at a time of course.

The 2001 model (which is what joshuaray and I both have) does not have plugs on the filter housing so the easiest way to prime the filter is to fill it with fuel before closing it up. Also, you do not have to crack all 6 injector lines--numbers 1, 3, and 4 will do. The engine may run rough for a couple of minutes at first but it will smooth out.

Well as long as were throwing out opinions....the easiest way to bleed a 01-02 is to bump the starter to get the 20 sec lift pump run time and push in the schrader valve test port at the fuel line running into the VP. Once you have good flow out of it and no air it will fire right off.
