What are the chances

I Had the 47rh rebuilt 2000 miles ago, today my son drove the truck,
the rubber hose busted pumped all fluid out and started to slip.
what are the chances that it is not hurt???? I hope not but I will find out tomorrow

I would say it should be all right. A quick loss a fluid usually warns the the driver faster, like all of a sudden it wont go!! or it starts to slip all of a sudden. Its hurts the tranny more if it was a slow leak that goes unnoticed by getting to the point that it has enough fluid to keep it engaged but not enough to dissipate the heat in the fluid. Heat is the biggest killer if it didn't get hot for a long period of time it should be alright. Hope it still is O.K for you, sucks when this stuff happens.

replaced rubber line, filled with fluid and she pulls fine.
I guess I got lucky
