URGENT HELP needed, truck will not start

Truck will not start at all no matter what i do..

Here are the symptoms. I put new o rings on teh DV holders, and i put new horseshoes and dust deals on the injectors and put the truck back together. As i make an attempt to crank it, it doesnt start at all...

I tried loosening the prefilter, there is diesel there, the fuel filter has diesel, and when i prime the button on the LP, it does make fuel reach the overflow valve.. The fuel however does not get any farther than that. It seems that it is not flowing up into the lines that go to the injectors...

Any ideas anyone? The truck will start with a gasoline soaked rag on the air filter and will run so long as there is gasoline there, BUT it will not idle, nor will it respond at all to pedal pressure... i can hold it to the floor and it wont do anything, i can also get out and mess with the linkage and pull it manually with the same results..

Help me please...

Rick

Check to see if your fuel shut off solenoid on the injection pump is turning on all the way. Turn the key on and see if you can push the plunger up. Then does it stay up all the way?

Gotta bleed the injector lines. Loosen the front 3 at the injectors and crank for 30 seconds, tighten them and loosen the back 3 and crank for 30 seconds. Repeat as needed, it may take a few tries but it will fire.

i got it running. PROBLEM once again.. NO response from teh throttle, and no fuel to the injectors.. somehow, someway this thing was runnin on gasoline fumes... This is the second time this has happened, and im assuming it could be a stuck rack, or a stuck plunger..

In either case, not good, ive cranked it again and it wont start or run without gasoline in the intake..

I have fuel at the prefilter, at the fuel filter, at the return line, inside the IP from the overflow valve, i even went so far as to pull a DV, and theres some fuel there, now at the injectors.. Nothing...

SO im assuming the IP is possibly shot..
