Unlock Doors

Unlock Doors
I have recently purchased a 2004 Dodge Ram Truck. I only got one set of keys. I did not know I had a alarm it went off, I started the truck and that didn't help so I shut it off. Left the key in the ignation and closed the door. The door locked. I finally disconnected the battery to stop the alarm, now I need to find out how to open the doors to get the keys. I know this is stupid, but please help.

You could buy a cheapo jimmy set from a parts store. I think that Cummins Tools sells them. Harbor Freight might as well. But DON'T do it if you are not comfortable doing it. There is stuff in there that could easily get messed. up.

Then, have a second Sentury (grey) key cut and the truck programmed to it. If you had two keys, the owner's manual states how to do this yourself. Get a cheap non-Sentury key made so you can at least get in if you do this again- it wo't start the truck (with the Sentury system), but it will unlock a door.

No doubt your door is already unlocked but...
I've posted this here before and thought I saved it but not, so I'm going by memory on the exact measurements but think they're right.
Take a coat hanger, brazing rod, etc, make a bend 1" long slightly less than 90°, more like a hook. Make a mark at 13" up from the bend. Side this down 2" in front of the manual door lock button, when you get to the 13" mark turn the rod so the hook is facing the interior, pull up.
The door should unlock.
If it feels like the hook is bending increase the angle of the bend so the hook is sharper.
I've tried this and it works, never had to really use it though since I have a hide-a-key.
