Turbo is making weird noises

Two days ago, we got our juice module back, now a hot juice. We put it on and took it for a test drive, tryin out stage 5, and we noticed the turbo surged. This is probably because the lack of fuel for that level, but i went out to drive yesterday, and now there is a new noise that is in cadence with the turbo spooling. It happens around 2-7 psi, and drowns out at higher boost. The best way to describe the sound is that it sounds like a faint fire truck siren, the pitch gets higher as the turbo spools faster, and same for when the turbo winds down. The turbo has barked before, even when trying the hot juice module, as it makes the truk extremely responsive, but do any of you guys out there have any ideas as to whats goin on? I checked for play in the turbo by taking off the intake, and there was absolutely no forward/backward play. There was a little side to side and up/down. We have looked for leaks, but could not see/hear any noticeable ones. Sorry for the long post but this could be a big deal.

Sinchy!!!! You blew a gasket on the intake man or poped a hole in one of the boot sleeves between the turbo and cooler and int man. Sounds like you had fun too!!!

I will check that out, but just as a precaution, we're taking off our chip and intake to return it to stock and take it to the dealer tomorrow. That leaves the egt probe and boost elbow, boy I hope they don't notice those. Yeah right.

Since they will examine the turbo plumbing closely, I suggest removing that boost elbow.

i think hemi's right, sounds like you blew a hole or have a leak in an elbow. mine sounded exactly like you described, a fire truck siren that gets louder with more pressure. mine developed into a scream rather quickly and i could only get 15psi of 32, dang that didn't run so well. got the PDR lower boots and they work great.

do you have guages? i noticed right when mine started to go my boost was down about 3-5psi and the egt was a little hotter. look closely at all the hose connections near the hose clamps and see if it looks like the edge of the hose is being pulled toward the center, out from under the clamp, they'll still leak if it's under the clamp but distorted. also, the hole in my lower IC boot was hard to find cause it came through at an angle and there was just a little tiny slit...but once i took it off i could fit my thumb through the hole from inside.
anyway, check those first, it's a lot cheaper to do that than to buy a turbo, and it'd suck to buy a turbo and still have the problem(that is unless you got a bigger one and more fuel! )

Thanks Jon, I feel much better to know thats its not the turbo. We were about to take it to the dealer, but my dad drove it and thinks its a leak too, just a matter of finding it now. Now...if it was the turbo, maybe we would put a big mamma jamma on there, but we were going to upgrade the tranny first. We do have the attitude monitor as gauges, but who knows exactly how accurate it is, but I'll keep my eye on them regardless.
