Truck Wont Start After Fuel Pressure Gauge Install
I'm at a loss here. I installed a fuel pressure gauge with the banjo bolt fitting and now it just wont start. I've tried cranking it many times. I pulled the banjo bolt fitting off and tried running the lift pump many times. I've put an air fitting in the fuel tank neck and put a little pressure in there to help boost fuel out of it. I put on a new fuel filter i had laying around and still I cant get any fuel out of that banjo bolt fitting. Its 2:30 AM and i have work in the morning. Help!

Got it started. I had my room mate come out and put pressure in the tank while i had the banjo bolt loose it took a long while but i finally got fuel to the fitting and i closed it shut. My lift pump is officially dead, 0 PSI all the time. needless to say my Holley Blue and fittings are on the way.

If you are just now installing a fuel press guage and discovered that your lift pump is shot, there's a good chance your vp has been pulling it's own fuel for a while. Have you checked for codes lately? The P0216 won't kick on the CEL.
