Any chance the fuel filter is plugged?,maybe it has water in the filter,I'm sure that 04.5 has a filter drain.that would be my guess, then maybe a relay?

Fill out your signature so we know what truck you have.

Sounds like fuel starvation due to a clogged filter.

I would have said that it may have been plugged up, but you didn't mention that you have noticed any decrease in performance or mileage.

No fuel pressure gauge, right?

Could be the lift pump went south...

If it's the lift pump, the dealer will replace your fuel filter housing-mounted lift pump with the newer in-tank lift pump. So far they are holding up just fine, but if you have to pay the dealer you might as well get a Walbro or FASS pump kit and make it even better.

Gauges are very important!

... and cheaper than many repairs.

Someone might have a better idea where to get one,but this one seems like an OK deal and its not mechanical so there is no mess for the int.

They should be advertisers on DTR - check the DTR store for prices and photos of what you're looking at installing.

Let's see what the dealer says... do you trust this one?
