Truck Left Me Stranded In The Drive Through
This morning I went to the drive through to get some breakfast. Of course I had to turn the truck off so the girl could take my order. When I went to start it the truck makes a high pitch whining sound. I assume its the starter since I have two brand new redtops and the voltage is good.
My truck is sitting in the parking lot and I am unable to get it home.
Does this sound like a starter? Is there anything wrong with the oriley lifetime warranty starter?

Just as Bysboy said, the starter motor is working, however it's not pushing out and engaging the little gear on the flywheel. Giving the starter a few good hits might get it to engage for you. However I would be looking at getting a new starter. They aren't that bad and don't take long to replace either.

As far as the O'reiley lifetime starter. I have been running one since April and it hasn't gone out yet if that helps but seriously I think it's a good starter and I plan on replacing the contacts with the upgraded ones. I suggest you do that with any starter you replace it with. You will get alot more life out of the starter with them.
