truck left me stranded in a blizzard
My truck died on the side of the road . I opened the filter drain valve and very little fuel came out. Pulled out filter housing was completly empty , put filter back in bumped stater a couple of times and checked for fuel in the filter and bone dry. Is there anything else to check or just get new lift pump.

Double check the fuel pump relay too. Should be able to switch it with another relay in the pdc. Have a test light? Double check power and ground at the lift pump. 03, I'm assuming, if it hasn't been moved to the tank. should be on the back of the filter housing.

When the truck quit it was only -15 c with a 50 to 75 kph wind, today is -23c. I got it towed 110 kilometers to a small town garage. The truck was out in the middle of nowhere . Thanks for the replies. I will post what we find.

If you don't find anything and the truck starts and runs fine, one thing to consider is did the air filter get plugged with snow. It happened to me one time in a blizzard and the engine died. I would never have believed the amount of snow in there it completely plugged the intake. Now that I think of it, it happened around Lloydminster close to the border.
