Can't figure out what the deal is. Feels like it goes into park but it doesn't highlight it. Does all the other gears fine.

Anyway to adjust this

If you go down and up fast it will stay in park.

Drove it about 35 miles and seems great

A little firmer shifts. Seems much more responsive. Transmission temp seems to be down about 5-10 degrees

Pretty happy with it.

Now, it goes into park sometimes and other times you gotta go down to to 1 and go fast to park in order for it to go in.

Is there adjustment somewere? I don't see anyway to change this?

Thanks

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Shift cable is adjsutable. Have someone move shifter and see what moves at tranny. That cable has a adjustment somewhere, generally where mounts to tranny. Buy a FSM

Put the transmission selector in P. Up under the dash if you follow the selector cable out of the firewall up to the steering column, you will find a white plastic clip in a retainer. The clip pushes up. If it has not been done before it might be a little stubborn.
Now, with the clip up, go down to the transmission and grab the selector lever and push it fully to the rear. Next, try and rock the truck to insure the lever is fully in the park position.
Next, push the clip under the dash back in.

Done. Your selector linkage should be adjusted.
