trasmision shifts through gears slow- gets up to 55mph and i let off gas then get back into it for it to go into overdrive

97' dodge 2500 just replaced ess that fixed problems with a/c /tach/ alt/ shifting into overdrive. Now it will shift into overdrive but it hesitates in between 55- 60 i have to back off the gas then press the gas to get it to go into overdrive.

 

I had some problems with my tranny wanting to shift in and out of overdrive at 55. The problem with mine was the TPS did not have the right voltage and it needed to be adjusted. I don't know if your issue is with the TPS or not, but have you checked the voltage on yours?

 

no i what haven't where is the tps located and what is the correct voltage ?
