tranny shift problem
I have 97' 2500 automatic diesel- hunting gears 1-3 especially if i put gas petal to the floor. tranny fluid is good but the bands have not been adjusted. Will this effect the shifting? tps is fine had it checked. someone said throtle body could be bad? What do you guys think????

hi
had a similar prob ,it was the tps ?
if you did not check it yourself you should try it agin maby ?
i installed a new one from napa and it worked but failed agin after 4 =5 mounths ,
soo i drilled and cleaned the old one and reinstalled it and it workes perfect for last 7 mounths!
napa gave me another one and i have it in the glove box !
i would change the trans fluid and filter and adjust the bands if needed also to eliminate that posiability.
also drive normal and statrt out in low using the shiftlever and go through the gears a few times and see if it shifts properly using manuel mode , this will sometimes disloge a small amount of dirt causing shift problems !
