I don't think you can drain the torque converter unless you pull out the transmission. I know that my old stock converter did NOT have a drain and that my current billet converter also does not have a drain.

If you are adventursome. Take the rear cooler line loose and slip 1/2 hose onto line and other in large container. start engine in neutral and run till flow from line sputters. You can now remove pan without fighting hugh spill. Remove oil filter and loosen 7/16 VB bolts. More fluid will drain than normally. Adjust bands and continue to let drip for couple hours. Tighten bolts,Reinstall filter, pan and refill carefully with engine running and in neutral. This will get about the most possible. Should be several qts more than normal 4-6 qts.
ATF+4 by different brands will mix. No snake oils or wanna be trans fluids.
