Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

If you're loading it down, you might try raising it to 70-80 psi.
Outside edge wear (both edges at the same time) usually indicates under-inflation.
Check your tire sidewalls for max inflation pressure.
If load range E tires should be around 80 max.

Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

I've got the same truck as you. I started running michelinxps allterrain load e. They have a stronger sidewall and that is what you need to have on a dually. Any time I run a weaker sidewall I have that problem. I also run the fronts 5# less than required. My loads go from 10k to 24k. Hope this helps

Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

Usually wearing on both the inside and outside indicates underinflation, or fast cornering or both. Its possible you could have too much positive camber and too much toe out but the tires would be feathered and probably cupped.

Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

There is a guy on one of the RV sites with a Ford F350 - he said that he takes his to a truck alignment shop - with his monster RV hooked up. He said that after doing it that way, his tires are wearing wonderfully and isn't having any problems. Something to consider. The site was iRV2.com.

Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

<br>I do Alignments on these trucks &amp; can offer the following. Inside &amp; outside wear usaully is under inflation but lots of cornering can also have the same effect. Your alignment shops should have provided a printout showing your readings &amp; listing perfered settings. I have found on my own 2500 4x4 that pressure loss happens fairly quickly on the front tires, so I check it at least weekly &amp; I rotate the tires every 3,000 miles. It took some time to get the camber dialed in but everything is going fine now. Finally - loads will change the alignment &amp; it is perferable to align the truck with the standard load you carry. I even had customers get their truck aligned prior to a long trip with heavy load &amp; then re-aligned after returning &amp; removing the load.

Re:TIRED OF TIRE PROBLEMS

I run 65 to 70 in the front and 60 to 65 in the rear year around loaded or not. I got 75000 out of the first set of Michelin tires and they are still flat across the tread. I rotate every 9000 to 10000 miles like the book says.
