Throtle position sensor

HELP!! PLEASE READ!! Throtle position sensor
I'm getting code 2122. The trani shop tried adjusting my kick down, now this code. Where is the sensor located. I pulled the cover off the engine and didn't see it,,,or under the throttle pedal.
After he tried adjusting the cable I left on a trip with my trailer. When I hit the hill's it kick's down so hard it red line's the motor. I have a call into the shop but won't hear from them until monday.
Is it safe to drive like this. As usual, I'm on the road on my way to Florida. BTW. Excuse the typing. I'm at a Flying J And this thing is junk, And I'm being timed,,,,lol
Any idea's. Thank's.

When I pulled the cover off, I saw the sticker that say's do not adjust cable's. Is there anyway possible the the trani shop adjusting the cable's messed up the sensor. Or is it just coinsedence, or that was the problem to begin with.
Will the 2nd gen tech article for readusting work on my 3rd gen.

Yes it should still work to reset the sensor. I did it a couple of times on my 03. I actually pulled my APPS apart once and adjusted it to make it hold the shifts a little longer.
Have you tried gently prying off that white clip that holds the throttle valve cable to the APPS housing and adjusting the cable? Is that the cable that he adjusted? Pulling back on that cable would make your shifts stretch out a bit longer and pushing it in will shorten the time between shifts. I'm not sure how adjusting it will affect your kickdown harshness though....

It's really messed up now. Sometimes I have to push on the pedal 4 or 5 time's to get it to move. Of all place's for it to happen, I stopped on the scale at a weigh station, and it wouldn't go. They said "Move off the scale driver."
Now the cruise works intermitantly. I've reset the assp 3 or 4 time's now. Could it be the brake switch, or is it time to shell out the big buck's. Again, I'm on the road.
