Exclamation Slow Shifting and Slipping out of gear on downshifts?!?!

ok....My truck has 245,000 miles on it. It runs like a champ and I have owned it for 3 months, when I got it It had a fresh transmission and 7,000 miles on it. Now it just left warrenty period.... and still on has only 15,000 miles on it. It has a B&M shift kit and an aftermarket torque converter. When I put the pedal to the floor it will go like normal until it has to shift, than it will hesitate for about 5 seconds before a firm shift, every time at wot. Then it has a problem with staying in a gear when downshifting for acceleration. It will almost seem to just free rev then it will firmly shift into the desired gear. But that is a rare occurace and it never shudders for slips when under a load. It will tow a 24" goose neck and tractor fine. If i place it in 4x4, place the p-brake on, and hold the brake and floor the pedal it will travel to about 1500 rpm and hold firm with no shuddering. but harsh downshifts cause hesitation for a gear. It will cruise fine. Just wot actions? ideas???

I would start with the basics - 15000 miles rebuilt tranny - change oil and filter and adjust the bands. Not knowing year of your truck or tranny I have read before your tv cable may need adjusting, just a couple of ideas.

have you checked the tranny oil? color smell? it appears to be line pressures are gone not holding clutche plates. plugged filter or bad solenoid. If you don't do the work youself bring it in and have it checked before you starting burning the clutches out of it. If you know who rebulit the tranny get them to check it out. maybe they will fix it for free ( ya right ). Just ideas for you. hopefully someone with way more knowledge than me can chime in.

Yeah I have checked the fluid. That was the first thing I did and it looks and smells like brand new. I got the filter kit and fluid, im going to flush it, change the filter, and adjust the bands, and hope for the best I suppose. If that doesnt do it I will have to take it somewhere. I just dont have time for this... any other ideas???
