RPMs Always jumping up

RPMs Always jumping up
In overdrive my engine RPMs jump up and down by about 250. this is driving me crazy. i just installed a new tps. is there an adjustment for the tps or an easy way to test it. the truck has 186000 miles on original tranny. In the past a tps replacement correted this. 5 replacements so far. I am not happy about tps replacements. am i missing another cause. Please help!!!!!!

It does sound like the TPS but if you put a new one on it and the problem still persists I would strongly look at the wiring from the TPS back to the computer.
Just another thing to try to remove the TC from the equation is to turn the overdrive off and cruising at 40 to 50 mph. If it still does it then something is still unlocking the TC. If it goes away then theres a really good chance the TC is toast.
