reading code P1688
I reinstalled a banks powerpack back into my 99 dodge. Tapped the wire and piggy back the to EZ. Now truck won't start. Turns over fine. Ran fine before I reinstalled the Banks. Pump is pumping. Plenty of fuel to the filter. Only noticed a little fuel in back 3 injectors. Showing code P1688. Need help..... Is it time for another Vp44

Very well may be. It's definatly one of the death codes. If it was me, I would remove the Banks stuff, reset the ECM (battery disconnect) and see what happens.

done everything I could even think about. Truck is all stock now. Still only turning over. Just wondering how could just 5 minutes before the truck runs fine. Then I connect the Banks system up and nada, nothing????

1688 is the " all over but the crying" code.
Internal pump timing failure. Basically, it is cooked.
Remove all the performance enhancing goodies, and try it again, I am will to bet you get the same result. If not, then your combination of illegal substances is overwhelming the pump's internal organs, and you need to figure out why.
Most likely, you are looking at a new pump to complement your "power enhancing substance" package.
Good luck with it.

You didn't happen to have cut the pump wire when you tapped it? Might be worth $1100 looking into.
If it is the VP44 you could always sell all of the Banks junk and use the proceeds to pay for your new pump.
If you are gonna tap the new pump use a Stealth cover.
