re47 trans shifting in & out of gear
Hi guys its been a while since my last post. My problem is that when im driving about 40 to 45 mph with overdrive off & i accelerate the trans feels like its downshifting & upshifting??????? It also does it at 30 to 35 mph???? Took it to my tranny guy & he said its my throttle position sensor so i replaced it with a $400.00 cummins part & what do you know it still does it. The fluid has been changed recently & is on the full mark. Trans was rebuilt by ato transmissions & this is the fist time i have ever had an issue with it!!!! CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME????????????

Go up to the top of this page and click "search". Type in "transmission hunting".
You can most likely fix the problem by wrapping some aluminum foil on the wire coming from the alt. to the ground wire by the battery on the pass. side. You'll see details as you read. It's an interference problem.

Welcome to the board. If you enter some of the details of your truck it'll make it easier for folks to jump in and help.
You're welcome for the help. I'm not a mechanic, I just learned how to fix mine here also!!
