rattles...rattles n' more rattles
Is anyone else having problem with cab rattles? My '02 seems to have one in the passenger/quad door and also a firewall or underdash rattle. Doesn't matter the speed or whether your on the highway or in town. Anyone? Thanks! ;D

Hey jd, cant help you with this one. I have an 02 and it doesnt have the first rattle or squeak even over rough roads. Besides, they are all rough roads in that 3500. I could run over and ant and tell you whether it was male or female!!

Check the body mount bolts...I have seen those a bit loose.
Also inspect the mounts themselves closely.
I believe there are six for the cab, three on each side.
A few dealers have mentioned the mount on the body can crack.

Hope you find the problem.

I have run over a few of them ants and the males can toss that truck fairly good.

thanks guys...the body mounts seem the logical place to look for the moment...as soon as the snow goes away! it sounds mostly like a rub squeek directly under the front of the dash at the windshield. the door jams, i'm wondering if perhaps an alignment problem perhaps? thanks again for the tips!

My truck has what sound like a rubbing/squeaking noise in the driver's door right by the fire wall also. I've put grease every where trying to make it quit. Maybe I'll try pulling out that vent. What does the vent do?
