Thats what i did. I got a 2' chunk of 3" pipe and hoseclamped 3 layers of thick tshirt material on one end and filtered it into a clean container. Now i have to ask. what are you doing for filtration on the truck?

I just use the regular fuel filter. just change it out about every 5k miles. cheap insurance.

Yeah that was actually next on my maint list as i have no clue when the last owner changed it...or if its ever been changed for that matter, but when my fuel pressure gauge arrives it'll let me keep a good eye on when it gets dirty

Ummmm no, I would not call cummins and ask such a question, I would also love to hear bosch's response to adding that much used oil to fuel through their HPCR system. I'll pitch in to pay the fella who calls these companies and asks these questions if he agrees to post the exact comments/results. Unbelievable, and here I am nervous to put 2 cycle fuel in my 150.00 lawnmower

the way i see it hey if i take the steps to make it clean it aint gonna hurt the truck any worse than puttin 5 bucks a gallon diesel in it. So I'm collecting all the used motor oil I can and use it as fuel.

IIRC, Cummins says 20% oil in the fuel is fine. I read a post a while back, where one member ran 70%, sometimes more! He has like 600,000 miles on the truck. It was a 12 valve not HPCR. I'll see if I can find the thread and link it.
