how long did you have it running? did it run fine when it was running? If it ran fine when it was running and the spray is made for a gas motor then imo it was not from that

It's possible that if something flammable is sprayed on the filter it can cause the engine to run for a second or two after shutoff, but I would think if it ran for 15 seconds, as you claim, it is merely coincidence. If there was that much flammable substance in the filter I believe it would have caused an elevated idle right from startup. The first thing I would do is to disconnect the shutoff solenoid rod from the fuel lever on the injector pump and inspect it. I bet the pivot point is rusted and sticky and needs lubrication.

Highly doubt the filter oil caused it.
Usually this a symptom of worn out starter contacts, a $10 item that will burn up your $200 starter solenoid if left be. At 152k they are definitely due.
You can buy heavy duty contacts here http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/default.htm install is easy.
In the meantime learn where the connector to your shut down solenoid is so that you can disconnect it in event of a run-on. Sticking contacts are known to start fires.

The first time I started it after I put it in it did cause a high idle for half a second as soon as it started, I came inside and got a drink etc.. went back out and started it and shut it right back off and thats when it did it, and It was more around 5 seconds maybe less, sorry I was kinda shook up a little when I wrote the thread ( dont need anymore more problems with my truck ya know )
