Oh great..wife just called
She is on the road with our 04 Dodge Dually pulling her horse trailer....told me she is running at 3000 rpms....WTH?? she said it doesn't seem to want to downshift...any thoughts??

I assume we are talking about an automatic ... right ?
When mine did that after towing for 2 days, it was because the bands in the tranny were out of adjustment. It was slipping like crazy and I had to nurse it at 15 mph / 3k to get it to my shop. After the band adjustment it drove like normal.
Maybe something to think about.

yeah...upshifting is what I meant...thats what I get for listening to her

Georgeous rig! I just love it when my wife tries to downshift my 6-speed and hits third instead of 5th. Seems to throw both of us through the windshield! And it is really fun when she hits 2nd instead of 4th! This dodge has the shift pattern of a sports car.....all but 2 mm apart!
