Odometer quit
I had 174,999 miles on my truck and it just stoped and would not turn over to 175k. Also when I stoped after a long trip my oil pressure gauge just went down and the oil light came on.

Re:Odometer quit
Dodgerammer,<br>There is a test that can be done to test the gauges, I don't recall how it is done. Something like turning the key on while holding the trip meter button. I believe it may give you a fault code. Sorry I don't remember but if you do a search, there are some threads on how to perform. Search long enough and you will probably find someone who has had a like problem.<br>Hope this helps.

I don't know if this will work on the 1st gen. diesels, but you could try it. Hold the trip/odometer button in while turning the key to the 'on' position. The odometer reading should read "CHECK". Your gauges and warning lights should come on and max-out.This takes a couple of minutes to run. After this is done, turn the key off. Now, turn the key on and off 3 times, ending in the on position. A code number(s) should apear in the odometer. I know this works for the 2nd gen., not sure about the 1st gen.
