Truck will not even crank. Tried both keys, moving shifter through gears (Auto). Any ideas so I am prepared when the dealer calls with the diagnosis?

Do the headlights work, dash gauges, interior lights? So far, from your desciption, you could have a dead battery.

We had a 6 speed truck do this and it had everything else but no crank with the starter, we tapped the side of the starter with hammer and have not had a problem since.

Lights fine. Batteries at 12.5VDC. With only 6500 miles if it is the starter, I will wait for a new one.

there is a yellow wire the hooks to the starter that sometimes the insulation gets worn off and it wont start cause it grounds out. should be able to see it through the driver side wheel well looking at the starter. may not be it but just something to look at and check.
