New VP44 but still showing P0216
I'm wondering what the heck is going on? I just had a new LP and VP 44 installed. The truck runs absolutely great. BUT when I hooked up my ScanPro I got a P0216. I tried to clear it and it does but comes right back. Im wondering if this means its a defective VP? I will call Midwest in the morning and discuss this. BTW, there is no CE light showing, just a code from the OBD. Thanks to all.

It's been a long time since I was a Dodge tech but I remeber a few times the relay for the VP44 causing the problem. I think it is labled Fuel Pump Relay in the under hood fuse box.
If I remeber correctly if the wrong shaft key is installed or if the key is installed backwards it can set the code. There should be a number stamped on the pump somewhere indicating what key it requires that number should match the one on the key. There is also an arrow on the key but I can't remeber what way it should point.
