Need help truck dies under 1000 RPM !
alright so here is the deal, buddy has a 95 dodge, 12v auto 4x4 single cab long bed, hes put 3 grand into it and cant get it working, he has a new lift pump in the tank, new fule screen/priming unit new line to the p-7100 pump, and a new tps sensor. if we prime the truck, it starts and runs fine, it will run all day at 2500-1800-1500-1300 but soon as it hits 1000 it dies. what could this be?
timming slipp maybe?
we have been priming it and priming it and cant find any fuel or air leaks, my buddy was thinkin put a fass pusher pump in it and run all new line but thats more money he doesnt want to spend, so he's willing to sell it to me for $2500 bucks im trying to get an idea wuts wrong with it....
AFC screwed up maybe?
my buddies a car mech. and its just sitting in his shop, hes 3000 into it with all the new pumps and stuff.
i really need help on this one guys, thanks for your time.

If you are priming and priming, I bet that it is an air leak on the suction side of the lift pump. This lines up well with dying at low RPM: at high RPM you have enough fuel delivered by the LP to run it, at low RPM the air kills the engine. I think on the 12v you have some suspect fuel delivery lines somewhere near the firewall that can fracture and cause minute air suction. Inspect them very closely, maybe bend them some to see if you can see fuel. Search this site, I recently read about someone with a 12v with the same problem.
Putting an electric pump on a 12v sounds to me like replacing a CTD with a PSD Find the leak, keep the mechanical LP, isn't that the whole idea of the 12v?..

This explains the procedure but you don't need the special tool, just drill and tap a 1/8" port into the head of the the injection pump inlet banjo bolt.

TST sells an adaptor here you can use off the fuel filter bleeder screw> http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=62

are there ant check valves that would let fuel drain out of the filter, the truck has a new in tank lift pump deal, and a new pump at lift pump at the motor, it seems to prime fine starts then when let run at idle it dies.
could it be just draingint to fast back to the tank?
i ran a new line to the lift pump at the motor and its still doing it.
if i got a FASS system could i just go from the tank to the p- 7100 injection pump and bypass everything?
any help guys this thing is killin me i cant figure it out, my buddy dumped 3 grand into new pumps and line and cant figure it out..
thanks
