i am installing my edge comp right now and am almost done. i am not using the pump wire and need to know if i still use the ground wire or is this ground just for the pump wire part of it? this is probably a stupid question, but i figured better safe than sorry...

You still need to attach the ground wire from the comp, as well as the 12v positive for it to work even with the pump wire unhooked..
Re:need help with comp install
indeed. I'm sure this is kind of late, but there is a very convinient ground connection on the cowel drivers side. A machine screw is already there just waiting for another ring terminal. keeps the pump wire, and the ground wire, out of the way.

Also, make sure your 12V red wire connects to the top of the #17 fuse and not the bottom.

What does it matter Doug? I've got mine hooked into the bottom of the radio fuse (can't remember fuse number) and it works fine. Never had any troubles with it there. Not trying to put you down or anything, I was just curious.

J, you do need to hook up the ground and the power wire for it to work. Where did you end up putting it? How you liking it? I've got mine grounded somewhere over by the intake heater since I've got my wire hooked up.
