PO1740 is TCC Solenoid or Over drive Solenoid performance code. TCC is torque converter clutch. You could have a bad Solenoid. is the trans doing anything unusual?

I got that code when I upgraded my TC and VB. I don't know if you recently upgraded, but on some trucks the aftermarket TC locks up @ a different rpm than the stocker. So the truck thinks the TC is slipping and throws the code 1740. That's what I'v been told by BD Performance and my diesel mechanic/installer. If it's stock then like the post above. Something is not working properly.

Must be the season, My truck is now throwing the P01740 code. I have a commander from ATS and when I force my truck to stay locked up below about 35 mph it will throw this code. Did a mod for it about 5 years ago and that fixed it but now it has returned. Will check to see if my connection has gone bad and see if that takes care of it. This is a typical issue with Calif trucks for emission control. The computer wants it to unlock by 42 mph or it will set a code.
