To Much Oil But Leaking Oil?????

Got a problem.

I have to much oil in my truck but I did not add any.
Now I'm leaking oil from the bypass hose on the driver's side.
The oil smells like it has diesel in it.
Could the motor be pumping fuel into the oil for some reason??
Also ever time the truck is at idle for a minute the oil pressure drops to zero
and the check gauges light come on.
I'm thinking of changing the oil out a lunch time today.
Any ideas would be great before I go ask the dealer.

Also would the dealer void anything because I have a banks tuner.?

Thanks

Here is a pix of the by pass hose.

Do not drive your truck with oil diluted with diesel. Your bearings will be wasted!

I have driven about 30 miles to get home sense the first time the oil pressure dropped and the check guages light came on.

Any clue why or how the fuel gets in to the oil??

Definatly get all the Banks stuff off,

"DO NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK" as above. It will trash the engine in a major way.

Then call DC for a tow to your closest dealer. There they will diganose it and tell you that you have a bad injector. They will not check as to why (usually) and will do no other dignousus (sp) other than to check & replace the injector(s) that check bad. Hopefully they will change the injector and then change the oil & filter and send you on your way. You can ask about checking the turbo and other bearings but that is not part of the repair that I have found out from my experiances on my 04.5.

Don't be surprised if they question your performance add ons and bill you for the injector, to the tune of over $1000 parts & labor for the first one and about $600-800 each for each additional injector (parts).

If you get lucky and they don't give you a hard time be sure that they bill the repairs under the engine part of the warranty, with no deductable. most try under the 7/70 with $100 deductable but it should be under hte engine with no deductable.

Good luck and keep us posted.

It's not looking good I will tell you that much.
Man it must have dumped a lot of fuel. In 30 miles I lost 1/2 of a tank of fuel.
Thats like 17 gallons half of that is under the truck dripping down on the ground.

Crazy never seen that before.
Truck is parked not moving till the tow truck comes.

Called 6 of the 15 dealers here in houston they all say any performance mod to any truck well void the warranty.
I Hope they can not trace the bank's sixgun.
Anyone heard of tracing the key cycle?

yes they will check the key cycle. and catch you with it.
but the six gun is not a programmer is it? programmers mess with keycycles(except smarty) and they will see that.
they will have a very tough time finding evidence of a module or box if you have removed evidence of the install. dont leave any velcro, tape residue, zip ties, wire connectors, etc.
but, and you've probably heard this before, you play, you pay. removing all the performance mods and returning to the dealer to get them to pay for it is just wrong. that is one of the reasons trucks cost $40k.

I agree with the you play you pay bt with all the people having bad luck with the injectors I will have to point the finger of blame at the dealer. Dad had a 07 with 488 miles on it and towed to dealer for 3 injectors to be replaced??

painter, there are defective barts in every patch no matter what you build.
some injectors go with a stock truck at 488, where as mine are still fine @ 30k with me stacking programmers and modules. some get lucky, some get the shaft.
i take my warranty into my own hands.

Yep, just on-off, on-off, on and the codes should show up in the odometer... don't start the engine, just cycle the key
