Mayday-Transmission toast need help
After having my second clutch installed within a 4 week period, now my transmission has fried. Kinda funny Aamco just inspected and replaced the fluid in the tranny when they replaced the clutch . I was told it was in perfect working order, 1 trip later the tranny gave out. Primary/Secondary gears completely chewed up. (fishy)
I am being told it is unrebuildable because parts can't be found. I was told it would cost me $8000. to get me on the road again. Needless to say, I declined. I was hit with a $1275.00 bill for towing and transmission removal and evaluation. Right now my truck is being transported from NC to MI. so I can dump the rental car and hotel bills.
I need some help. The truck is as follows: 2004 dodge ram 3500 drw 5.9 CTD w/6 speed manual NV 5400? (just rolled over 200,000 miles.)
Any one have a 6 speed or know anything about parts availability? I just can't trust Aamco.

Found it, thanks. If they quit making this transmission, is there a replacement that will bolt up? I haul heavy all day long and like the 6 speed. Also what other years would be compatible? Will be doing a national search tomorrow.
