Lower boost after moved to 16 deg timing
Am I nuts or did i loose power and boost after I had my dealer bump my timing to 16 deg. I had a KDP failure , removed and replaced the timing cover and messed up my timing a little, so I took it to the local dealer and they checked and set my timing at 16 deg's for mem they also adjusted the valves. Problem is seems like I have less power than before, Also boost is lower, I can't hear any boost leaks and my truck is really rich at idle. Any suggestions ?

You shouldn't have lost power or boost. Being that a dealer did it I'd take it back, chances are they didn't set your timing to 16° but lower. Even folks who have done timing several times can get it wrong.

Well , today I was on my way into town (a couple hundred mile trip) and half way my truck started to pop, I mean really bang and shake.. Sounded like it was comming out of the intake. Since I just had the valve clearances checked I suspected a over adjusted valve, so I removed a couple valve covers and both pushrods on the number 3 cyl were bent and one was totally mushroomed. What could have caused this ? I got two good pushrods and a good rocker assy from a friends truck and all seamed well.. Nope still pops. I'll bet that a valve is bent. Why is this so ? I'm really starting to loose faith in my CTD. All in less than two weeks Ive had a kdp failure, a Lift pump failure and now this.. And all I have is 107 thousand kilometers thats like 60 thousand miles... Thanks for letting me vent... : (

Sounds like they messed up.
It sounds like the valve adjustment was to tight causing cam failure. The exhust lobe is gone (IE metal debris in engine killing bottom end) which causes poping out the intake becuase the air going in can t get out any other way.
It would have caused low power and low boost too, before the lobe went anyways.....because the valves would have been hung open all the time being to tight.
