Low pressure light??...whats next..Sorry for a Newbie quest.
I am new to diesels. I have a 2000 Dodge 3500 cummins 4x4 6spd. I bought the truck a couple months ago. It has 70K miles. It is my work truck. I have had a red light on the dash flickering/staying on for a little while now and just found out that it is probably a low fuel pressure warning light. What Do I Do???? Where do I start??
Also, it has began to try and stall in the morning when I start it for the first time of the day. It runs for a second or two and then cuts off. It will start back up but not as easily.

Welcome to the site! Have you changed the fuel filter? Depending on where the sensor for the light was attached, a plugged filter could cause the low pressure you're experiencing. Filter replacement directions Click Here.

I will probably still check the pressure but......I just traced the wire and I found the sending unit on the VP44 and the wire was not connected! I am going to hook it back up and see what happens. I guess it was just resting on something metal and turning on the light. Hopefully the light will stay off when I get it hooked back up.

I installed one my self on my 2000. Came with the campaign pump.
I think the light will come on when it senses an open circuit ( under 3.5 psi). It should be a 2 wire plug.
